Understanding red wines

• Red-wine making
• Wine tasting lesson: Blend you own Bordeaux wine
A speciality at the Ecole du Bordeaux : Play the role of the cellar master, and make the blending of your choice using the four main grape varieties of the Bordeaux wines.
A game that is open to everyone, even beginners, and some may even find a new vocation…
For this very particular wine-tasting we use unblended, individual variety wines from Château Lynch Bages which have been specially conserved for this reason

The diversity of the great Bordeaux red wines

• Medoc, St Emilion and Graves areas : history and wines
• Wine classifications: understanding the puzzling Bordeaux rankings
• Wine tasting lesson: Bordeaux red wines. Power, softness and complexity
• Enjoy 4 red wines from the most famous regions : Medoc, Graves and Saint Emilion
THURSDAY : VISITS
Discovery of the famous Medoc red vineyards

Probably the most famous vineyard of the world, home of the 4 fantastic First Growths : Margaux, Mouton-Rotschild, Latour and Lafite. Visit of a Grand Cru Classé.
FRIDAY : VISITS
Discovery of the village of St Emilion and its vineyards

Visit of St Emilion, a medieval town, one of the UNESCO world heritage villages. Discover the picturesque landscape of St Emilion, the land of Ausone and Cheval Blanc and visit of a famous St Emilion Grand Cru Classé.
